My first attempt at using "Gimpshop" a free photoshop alternative. It's not love, but right now I'll take what I can get.

A couple months ago my Photoshop CS crashed for no apparent reason. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I took it to a professional. Nothing. And of course Adobe doesn't offer support for old versions of their product. It looks like I'll have to break down and buy a new copy, but for the time being I'm trying this out.

  1. It's so frustrating when our computers (or programs) crash! But you found an alternative. cute drawing!

    1. Thanks Linda!

Yeah, I'm breaking down and buying Photoshop CS6 though. I hate that Adobe discontinues support for their own products...but I also can't live without their products so...

    1. Probably I could, but I work with photoshop every day at my job, so it would cause a bit of frustration. In any case, I've already forked over my money. Now I just need to figure out how to uninstall my old adobe software so I can install the new stuff. For some reason my computer is being persnickety about this.

  3. This looks great! You could definitely get away with using the alternative for a while. I've been meaning to look into GIMPshop for when I post Photoshop tutorials.

  4. Thanks Mandy! Yeah, I went for a couple months without remembering that there was such a thing as Gimp and then it suddenly dawned on me that people use this and probably so could I.
